* PLAYER OF THE WEEK *

Player of the week honors go to John Bean of Calvary Chapel Team 1 after scoring 19 points in a 58 - 36 win over Haven of Grace. For the second week in a row Bean was all over the court not only getting his own points but creating open looks for teammates as Haven of Grace looked for a way to slow him down.

Calvary Chapel 3 vs Community Baptist

After coming out to a 7 point lead Community Baptist looked tired in the second half. The three pointers that catapulted them to a win last week just weren't falling tonight as their lead slipped away in the second half and they hit only three shots from downtown.

Calvary Chapel 3 did an excellent job on the boards out-rebounding them 37 - 15. They forced Community Baptist to settle for one shot nearly every time down the floor. The lead wittled away early in the second half and Calvary Chapel 3 was able to hold on down the stretch with a couple timely buckets by Frank O'Brien and a big 3 pointer from Tom Bean in their 42 - 35 win.

Haven of Grace vs Calvary Chapel 1

Dan Mendes slashed and cut to the basket all night trying to keep his team in it but several of his shots failed to fall. Calvary held Miguel Johnson to just 4 points this week, compared to his 18 last week, and Adam Melvin, who scored 17 last week did not dress.

John Bean once again put the Calvary team on his back, scoring 19 points and playing some great defense. Calvary spread the ball around all night as all 8 players scored and 7 of the 8 had at least one assist in their 58 - 36 win.

Calvary Chapel 2 vs. First Baptist

Bad luck pitted First Baptist against the two bigger teams back to back and this week was no different as they just didn't have the height to defend against Calvary Chapel 2's six players over 6ft tall. Adding insult to injury Matt Ransom was hurt on the first play of the game(ankle).

Matt Kaufman put up some excellent numbers for Calvary Chapel scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in the 53 - 28 win.
